Why Fundraisers?
The Valley View Elementary Parent Teacher Association (VVEPTA) is a non-profit organization which provides yearly programs and events.  We serve a student population of approximately 1,200 in kindergarten through 5th grade.  We are a relevant resource for families in our community, and a strong advocate for the education and well-being of every child.

The VVEPTA holds fundraisers throughout the year to raise money for all PTA sponsored in-school programs and field trips.  With your support, we can continue to fund these events for children in both the Elementary and Intermediate Schools.

Here is a list of the expenses the VVEPTA covers:

Field Trips - one trip per year for each grade kindergarten through 5th
(examples: Steamtown Train Museum, SWB Railriders Game, Movies)

In-School Programs - one educational program for each grade kindergarten through 5th & Anti-Bullying Programs
(examples: Mobile Science Lab, The BrainShow, The RainForest Show)

In-School Events - Red Ribbon Week (Drug & Alcohol Awareness), Dr. Seuss Day (Read Across America), Play Day,
2nd Grade Step-up & 5th Grade Farewell

Yearly Student Gift - every student receives a gift from the VVEPTA

Teacher Appreciation Week - treats for our teachers for a job well done

Reflections Arts Program - supporting dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography & visual arts

PTA Organization Expenses - Copier & Paper Costs, Insurance & Taxes, Membership Gifts, Founders' Day

Thank you for your continued support!

Scholastic Book Fair
What is a Scholastic Book Fair?
It’s an awesome opportunity to buy books and support your child’s school too. While fundraising is a definite benefit to holding a Book Fair, so is uniting kids with literature and bringing the community together in honor of that mission. Fairs also provide you with the opportunity to engage in reading with your kids and tune in to their passions.  A wide range of titles for every level and interest. Favorite series and authors will get kids excited about reading.

Parents will be able to shop during conferences.  Each class will have an opportunity to visit the Book Fair during the school day if you would like to send money in with them.  Look for book forms in your child’s folder.
